Terms of Use
This is a personal site where I write about my life as a dad. Read it, share it, quote it with credit. Don't republish it as your own, and don't treat it as medical, legal or financial advice.

Using this site
By reading The Dad Diaries you agree to these terms. The site is run by Joseph Tito under JEO Publishing. If you don’t agree with something here, the fix is simple: don’t use the site.
What you can do with the writing
Everything on this site — the stories, photographs, guides and book extracts — is mine, and it’s protected by copyright.
You’re welcome to read it, link to it, and quote a short passage as long as you credit The Dad Diaries and link back to the original page. That’s how writing spreads and I’m glad of it.
You may not republish whole articles, reproduce my photographs, feed the content into a commercial product, or present any of it as your own work. For anything beyond a short quote, email info@jeopublishing.com and ask. I usually say yes.
Photographs of my daughters are off limits for reuse of any kind. That one isn’t negotiable.
This is not advice
I write about surrogacy, fertility clinics, money, immigration paperwork and mental health because I lived through them. I am not a doctor, a lawyer, a therapist or a financial adviser, and nothing here is professional advice.
Surrogacy law and fertility costs change constantly and vary enormously by country. What was true for my journey may not be true for yours. Talk to qualified professionals in your own jurisdiction before making decisions.
Buying books
Signed and personalised books ordered here are sold by me directly, with checkout handled by Stripe. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise, and I can change them at any time before you order.
Signed and personalised copies are non-refundable. The full detail — including damaged deliveries and orders that never arrive — is in the returns & refund policy.
Books bought from Amazon, Indigo or another retailer are governed by that retailer’s terms, not these.
The newsletter
Signing up means I can email you. It doesn’t mean anything else. There’s an unsubscribe link on every message, and how your address is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Links to other places
I link out to publications, retailers, clinics and other creators. Some of those links may earn me a small commission — Amazon links, for instance. It never changes what I recommend or what you pay. I don’t control anything on the other end of a link, and I’m not responsible for what happens there.
Limits
This site is provided as-is. I try hard to keep it accurate and online, but I can’t promise it will always be either. To the fullest extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything in it. Where the law does hold me liable, that liability is limited to what you actually paid me.
Changes and contact
These terms can change; the date at the top tells you when they last did. Canadian law governs them, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
